The more raw material you provide (ideas, images, brand assets, preferences), the easier it becomes to refine those pieces into a finished brand. Canva: What You’ll Need to Know
Canva Pro is one of the most powerful design tools for business owners, and it’s a cornerstone of Brand in a Day™. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a designer to use it. But you will need to know a few basics to keep up during the workshop:
How to log into your Canva Pro account
How to use templates (we’ll provide pre-built Brand in a Day™ templates that you can customize).
How to change fonts and colors in a design.
How to upload images or logos from your computer.
How to download finished files in formats you’ll use (PDF, PNG, etc.).
How to create a Brand Kit in Canva — we’ll walk you through this in the workshop, but practicing beforehand will give you a huge advantage. Even setting up one draft kit with fonts and colors you like will make the live process faster.
If you’re not yet comfortable with Canva, don’t stress. Your Market Center has training available to help you get up to speed before the workshop; just let them know you’ve registered and the kind of help you need. Taking advantage of that support now means you’ll walk in confident and ready to go.

ChatGPT (or Google AI Studio): The Basics You’ll Need
AI is a huge accelerator in the branding process. During the workshop, we’ll use ChatGPT Pro (or your free Google AI Studio account if you’re with KW) to refine your messaging, create headlines, and test different angles for your brand.
Here are the skills you’ll need:
Cut and paste: You’ll receive a prompt document before the workshop. You’ll need to copy prompts, paste them into ChatGPT, and run them.
Fill in the blanks: Some prompts will ask for your business name, archetype, values, or a specific client type, etc. Have that information handy so you can plug it in quickly.
Customize the output: AI gives you drafts. You’ll adjust words, add personal touches such as tone, and make sure it sounds like you.
Save or export results: Make sure you know how to copy the final text out of ChatGPT and paste it into your brand workbook or Canva designs.
You don’t need to be an AI expert. We’ll guide you through it. But knowing the basics means you’ll spend less time fumbling with the technology and more time creating. Your Market Center can help with this, also - so don’t wait until the day of the workshop. Others have also paid for this day and we’ll all move along swiftly in unison.

If you don’t have sufficient skill in Canva or ChatGPT, your Market Center teams are available to provide training ahead of time so you’re ready to perform the basic tasks you’ll need on workshop day. The Tools You Must Bring
This is an eight-hour intensive. To set yourself up for success, here’s your checklist:
A computer (laptop preferred) — This is your main workspace.
Power cords/chargers for all devices — We’ll be working all day; don’t risk running out of power.
Canva Pro account access — You’ll need it to use our templates and design tools.
ChatGPT Pro or Google AI Studio — To run prompts and generate brand messaging.
A notepad and pen…(and a back-up!) — For jotting down live pro-tips you won’t want to forget.
Any existing brand work — Old flyers, brochures, or notes you want to grab any important messaging off of that you want to use to build..
Your logo (if you have one) — Even if it’s rough, bring it, but I have some amazing ai tools you can use to get your started!
Hex colors (or color ideas) — If you’ve been drawn to specific brand colors, have them ready.
Favorite fonts — If you’ve seen typography you love, bring those names or screenshots.
The more assets you bring, the more personalized your final brand will be.
What’s Next?! The Brand Archetype Quiz
After registering, you’ll receive a link to complete a Brand Archetype Quiz. This is non-negotiable; it’s the starting point for your entire brand journey. Your archetype is the DNA of your brand’s personality, tone, and story.
Complete the quiz immediately after registering. You will not be able to attend if you do not take the quiz. This is a requirement and a vital part of how I build brands.
Don’t overthink it. Answer honestly, based on instinct.
You will receive your results the morning of the workshop. You’ll get the official results on the day, and we’ll use them to align every piece of your brand. You will have a complete folder built for you with all the necessary items you’ll need for the day!
